As you may know by now, a Level Up character’s origin is comprised of heritage, culture, background, and destiny. We’ve covered heritages and backgrounds in detail recently, so now it’s time to look at the other two pieces of that puzzle.

The Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition Monstrous Menagerie has dragons–lots of dragons. With 85 pages of true dragons (about 90 stat blocks and variants) and 15 more pages of dragon turtles, sea serpents, and so on, we have a full source book’s worth of draconic friends and foes.

The back of the Monstrous Menagerie contains a handy list of all the creatures and NPCs within sorted by CR.

Let’s talk about feats in Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition!

In Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition, martial classes get a choice of combat maneuvers. You learn combat maneuvers in a way not dissimilar to spells, and you power them by spending ‘exertion’.
