A Question of Culture & Destiny
As you may know by now, a Level Up character’s origin is comprised of heritage, culture, background, and destiny. We’ve covered heritages and backgrounds in detail recently, so now it’s time to look at the other two pieces of that puzzle.
Dragons in Level Up
The Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition Monstrous Menagerie has dragons–lots of dragons. With 85 pages of true dragons (about 90 stat blocks and variants) and 15 more pages of dragon turtles, sea serpents, and so on, we have a full source book’s worth of draconic friends and foes.

What Are Combat Maneuvers?
In Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition, martial classes get a choice of combat maneuvers. You learn combat maneuvers in a way not dissimilar to spells, and you power them by spending ‘exertion’.
Starting Gear
One of our goals with Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition was to create simple quality-of-life tools which make running the game easier. One such tool is our Starting Gear Past 1st Level section.
