Class Preview: Adept
The Kickstarter has launched! Over the next month, we have plenty of fun stuff to show you. Let’s start with a class — and we’ll start at the beginning with the Adept.
The Adept is a class we renamed. While we love the original Eastern-themed monk, we felt that unarmed combatants could encompass a much broader range of archetypes. The Adept, therefore, is a character who masters their body to perfection — they might be an Eastern-themed monk (and we have an archetype/subclass for that), but they might be a burly red-bearded pit-fighting man-mountain, or a highly trained athlete. To that end, we’ve broadened the scope of the class flavor to let you choose.
Of course, there are many, many original monk subclasses out there in addition to our Warrior Monk archetype. You can use them all for a wide variety of monk-style adepts — don’t forget we use the term ‘exertion’ rather than ki, though your adept can call it whatever you choose!
